Yvonne Sovereign, Sanford, NC
Yvonne Sovereign is a full-time artist working out of her studio, Southern Wind. Yvonne's favorite mediums are watercolors and oils and her subjects vary from animals to landscapes, often incorporating both. She is best known for her sensitive portrayal of dogs.
Yvonne Sovereign began drawing and painting at a very young age. In high school she majored in fine arts and attended summer classes at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC. She then attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, majoring in Art.
She is a registered artist with the AKC Museum of the Dog in St. Louis, MO and has exhibited in their Artist's Registry Exhibitions. She has been accepted in the juried show, Art Show at the Dog Show, Wichita, Kansas for a number of years since its inception where she has won numerous awards including a Best in Show in 2013. She has also received awards at the Watercolor Society of NC regional show and the Sanford Brush and Palette Show, Sanford, NC, including several Bests in Show. In 2006 she was awarded a grant from the Arts Council, Fayetteville/Cumberland County. Yvonne has exhibited in numerous juried shows, had one- and two-person shows and taught art classes. Yvonne's work is in private collections in the United States, Canada, England, Sweden, Finland, Japan and Australia. Currently she is represented by the Dog and Horse Gallery in Charleston, SC and the Carolina Artist's Colony in Sanford, NC, where she has a studio near her home.

Brian Hinkle, Wichita, KS
Brian Hinkle has been active in the Wichita art scene since the early 1990s. He is a dedicated, full-time oil painter who has explored many styles ranging from abstraction to impressionist landscape.
Brian holds a Master's Degree in painting from Wichita State University and a bachelor's degree from Grinnell College in Mathematics. He is a former gallery director at The Wichita Center for the Arts, where he continues to teach classes in painting, drawing and enameling.
He also serves as gallery director at Bob Schwan Studios and teaches painting classes at Tessera Gallery. His paintings are currently represented by Artworks, Inc. in Wichita, Strecker-Nelson Gallery in Manhattan, KS and Leopold Gallery in Kansas City. Recent exhibitions include solo shows at The Birger Sandzen Memorial Gallery in Lindborg, KS and the Hutchinson Art Center.
