ELIGIBILITY

All artwork must include a dog or dogs in the subject matter. The competition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older. Works must be original and must have been executed solely by the person in whose name they have been submitted. All entered artwork must be priced and for sale!

SPECIFICATIONS

ALL ACCEPTED WORKS MUST BE READY FOR DISPLAY! We recommend that Plexiglas be used on shipped works that require glazing. Size limitations -2-dimensional works may not exceed 48 inches on horizontal line, including frame. 3-dimensional works may not exceed 60 pounds and must fit through a standard 32' x 80" doorway. Works shipped by carrier must be adequately packed in crates or packages suitable for return.

Any artwork not conforming to the accepted slide, not fulfilling the above requirements or not being adequately presented may be eliminated from the show.

PUBLICITY

Signature on the entry form grants the Sponsors the right to photograph exhibited works for publicity, educational and publications purposes. The Sponsors will endeavor to produce a catalog of the exhibit. Booth space for display and sale of non-entered works will be available at the Dog Shows at $250.00 for the 3-day period. SALES

All work submitted must be priced and for sale. Every possible effort will be made to encourage sales. A 30% commission will be taken on all sales. No commission will be charged on purchase award.

All entries must be received by January 9, 2008.

All accepted work must be received by February 26, 2008.

If accepted, you will receive shipping instructions on where to ship your work.

ENTRY FEES and NUMBER OF ENTRIES

Slide entries only. Selection of works to be exhibited in the show will be chosen from 2" x 2", mounted 35 mm color slides which must be labeled as follows. Top of slide should be indicated. Clearly print on the slide, Artists name, Category, Title of work, and Medium.

Artist may submit slides for as many as four (4) entries. In order for the Jurors to fairly evaluate your entry, please provide the best quality slides possible. Up to four (4) slides can be submitted to illustrate each 3-dimensional entry. Only one (1) slide should be submitted for 2-dimensional works. Each slide must be labeled as noted above. Any accepted work which differs greatly from the slide entry will be disqualified. Accepted slides become the property of the Sponsors.

Entries declined will be returned to the artist if a SASE is included with entry.

A NON-REFUNDABLE ENTRY FEE OF $40.00 per artist for up to four (4) entries must accompany the entry form.

LIABILITY

Utmost care will be taken in the handling of all entries. 24-hour guards will be provided while the exhibit is at the Kansas Coliseum. However the Sponsors and their agents will NOT be held liable for the loss or damage of any artwork before, during or after the exhibition. Artists must make their own arrangements for insurance.
